Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on September 21 the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio is an American actor. She is best known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost TV show. Her parents had divorced and she moved with her mom to Los Angeles. Though she struggled financially, her 2001 debut was in the role of Rachel's Room's primary character. In the following year, she was awarded an Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 with her portrayal of 15-year-old murder victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder which aired in Greenwich. Grace Rutherford, a role she played in Lost from 2004 until 2005 was selected for an Screen Actors Guild Award. Grace was a co-star with Tom Welling on The Fog in the year 2005, decided to make the move to film. She was in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 as well as Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. The same character was played by Grace in Taken 2 and Taken 3 (both 2012). Grace played Shannon on the finale and in two additional episodes. Grace appeared on Californication's 6th season that aired between 2013 and 2014. Following her acclaimed performance as a mother who is not married on the screen in Crazy Heart (2009), she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. In the following years, she appeared in comedy and dramas Nanny McPhee as well as the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria (2011) and Won't Back Down (2012). The other roles she played were a Secret Service agent in the action thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in the film Frank (2014) and her role as the lead in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018).
