MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His global success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. In 2017 the song he released in 2016 Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album ADN was issued by La Industria Inc., an Medellin-based Sony distribution firm. The album peaked at the rank of eight on the Top Latin Albums charts. The following year, he joined forces with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca that was a Top Five hit. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia and debuted the album Dopamina within the year following. In 2021, he appeared as a duo TINI on her cult music video Maldita Foto. The year 2023 was when the cult hit La Bachata was released. Turizo was born into a household of music His mother and brother also are musicians. In interviews he's talked about his involvement in music as mandatory. When he was young, he instructed to play the saxophone, piano as well as guitar. His initial choice of career was to be a veterinarian But his older brother Julian encouraged him to learn to sing with a Cuban teacher. What he got was learning that he possessed talents for singing, changed his path in life.
