Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born to an adored family of musicians. She spent most of her early years listening to music from the past, boleros from the past, ranchero traditional or romantic songs and older classical songs. Ana is a lover of tangos and opera, along with all dramatic performances. At age 16 she began to sing and study music with her mother. Flavio, a Mexican Tenor with a renowned reputation, began to give her more intense vocal instruction. Her music training continued in the School of Music of Guadalajara University. Later, she attended the School of Sacred Music of Toluca. In her early career, she included performances with a variety of orchestras, chamber ensembles, and opera choirs and chamber groups in Guadalajara. She was a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus in the United States before moving to southern California. She currently is a part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer of classical Latin American music at private occasions. As a teacher and musician Ana is a dedicated participant in numerous community projects because of her passion and enthusiasm for music. Ana is also a previous part of the Community Chorus of Redlands, the Inland Master Chorale, and the Performance Loft. Ana loves to sing traditional Latin American songs and hopes that she can inspire other people to follow in her footsteps.
